From December 12, 2019 to March 1, 2020, artist Qin Siyuan’s multimedia live art project-“Park Sound” was presented at UCCA Ullens Center for Contemporary Art.The “Yuanyin” was co-curated by Zhang Xiaozhou, the director of Modern Sky BADHEAD label, and You Yang, deputy curator of UCCA Ullens Center for Contemporary Art. It is divided into two parts: performance recording and exhibition. It is reported that the recording of “Yuanyin” performance was completed from October 17 to 24, 2019. The curatorial team of the “Yuanyin” art project and Qin Siyuan invited 39 musicians including Wu Na, Guan Fei, and Yang Haisong to join the artsThe unique Suzhou Garden at the center performs performances and recordings for the art scene.From October 17th to 24th, for eight consecutive days, many musicians stepped onto the stage in turn. Gradually, the previous music brings a personal response, and also responds to theThe improvisation of the performance environment.From traditional Chinese folk music to jazz, rock, electronic music, avant-garde experimental music, etc., many musicians fully demonstrate the creativity of current Chinese music in a variety of musical styles.During this process, the artist completely recorded the live performances of all the musicians by video and audio recording. Based on the materials captured and recorded in the previous section, the four-screen video installation created by artist Qin Siyuan constitutes the exhibition part of the “Yuanyin” art project.The artist deconstructs and reconstructs the film and sound through the artistic treatment of the previous shooting content, and extracts and mixes musical elements of different styles to obtain a sound art work that is completely different from the music played by all the musicians involved in recording and shooting.
